Well, it has been an unseasonably warm past few days in my home town of Fullerton, California and when it is warm during this time of the year I really look forward to the upcoming spring season when all my flowers in my garden will start to bloom. It's right around the corner! I recently had my gardener and his wife help me prune my garden. And while the garden is mainly bare, I just noticed that the warm weather has caused a few of my roses to start blooming early already.
I just love when my garden is in bloom because I can go out into my back yard and gather roses and other types of flowers to use as my studies for my work.
It's February also and I love this time of the year because I am a romantic at heart and am looking forward to Valentines Week....one of my favorite days of the year. I just wonder what my boyfriend Allen (aka my husband of 33 years) has in store for me! So this always inspires and reminds me to bring my heart shaped boxes and other romantic items out to look at. Some of these items, like the heart shape hand painted Limoges box shown above are now available on my Antique and Collectible site,Marta's Antiques and Beyond on Ruby Lane. Well, enough writing for now and back to my studio to paint and create more...I can hardly wait! Have a wonderful February everybody!
